On Thursday 12 March, Vassilis Agouridas, IDI co-chair, participated as a panelist in the session “Embedding urban air mobility in sustainable urban mobility planning”. The discussion examined how Urban Air Mobility and large-scale commercial drone operations can be integrated into local transport networks in line with the EU Drone Strategy. While these services offer opportunities to enhance efficiency and sustainability, local authorities must address key challenges related to safety, public acceptance, governance, service coordination and economic development.
