IDI is an ERTICO-led Innovation Platform.
By facilitating cross-sector collaboration through European-funded projects, innovation platforms, cross-sector initiatives, and cooperation alliances, ERTICO co-create activities to help turn ideas into practical solutions that improve mobility for people and goods.
The Challenge:
Emerging innovative aerial services in populated areas should not exist and operate alone; coexistence and integration with urban, peri-urban and regional traffic are essential.
The Vision:
The imperative for responsible, society-driven IAS (innovative aerial services) goes through, and necessitates, interoperability and integration of air and ground traffic data and services.
Why Now?
Urban, peri-urban and regional environments are evolving in multiple dimensions. The demand for effective operations of cities and regions is higher than ever, including the demand for innovative sustainable mobility.
